Slides or presentations are integral part of the corporate culture. So, questions might be arises how to make a compelling presentation slides. How do we decides which fonts to be used and how many slides to be used ?

How do we decide the number of slides to prepare ?
Answer: It is times in minutes divided by 2. Suppose, you have 10 minutes presentation then you should prepare for 4-5 number of slides. Always refrain from too many slides.

Versions of slides
  1. In the presentation format. You will present to an audience. In this case, you should give less details as you will be explaining to the audience.
  2. In a document format: You will sent the presentation via email. Here more detailed to be given as user will be reading the information. 
Basics of Slide making
  • Hygiene factors: There should be a page number on every slides. Writes confidential information in the footer.
  • Types of slides:
  1. Detailed and text heavy slides: Used for training and teaching.
  2. Teleprompter slides with bullet points.
  3. Visual presentation slides.
Points to remember
  1. Always run a spell check.
  2. Refrain from adding vibrant colors and different fonts.
  3. Keep your script comprehensive.
  4. Add infographics image and visuals.
  5. Use resources available without copyright infringements.
  6. Specify the source of any elements.
Making a good presentations

  • Pack all the information in one slides.
  • Add animations to highlight the most important information.
  • Send the detailed presentation on emails.
  • Good slides contains text and visuals in a balanced manner.

  • Apply basic presentation and hygiene factors.
  • Run grammar checks.
  • Maintain balance between visuals and text.
  • Avoid using vibrant colors and fonts.

This is as per my personal experience listed down most favorite. All other options are best too. It depends which suits you better and fulfill your work:

  2. Adobe Illustrator.
  3. Prezi
  4. Google Slides
  5. Canva.
Visual communication is vital to convey information or message.
